As 2010 is drawing to a close it was interesting to see which trends dominated the year. Twitter recently launched their top trends which can be found below.

Moving into 2011 i personally believe that organisations will begin to accept external trends as a true external, macro measure of what is popular. For example, in the online gaming space the below could be used to promote specific content e.g. Use Manchester United odds promotion instead of Arsenal or Manchester City due to the higher value.
